If anyone compiled a list of unusual and beautiful places in which to eat, as well as stay, Burgh Island, just off the Devon coast, would surely be near the top of the list, as it is a unique Art Deco hotel located on a private 26 acre island, all rooms are furnished in art deco style and the hotel has recently been substantially and lovingly renovated by the present owners. Burgh Island is firmly located in the 30s and guests encouraged to enter into the spirit of the island; black tie at dinner is normal, especially at their dinner dances.
